Brown, other leaders quit Bonecrushers

In a major shakeup, Gilbert Brown, the former Green Bay Packers lineman and now head coach of the Milwaukee Bonecrushers, has resigned.Chris Kokalis, the franchise's general manager; defensive coordinator Gene Rhodes Jr.; and offensive coordinator Jeff Hermann also announced their resignations, it was announced today.The mass resignations apparently came because of what were called "irreconcilable differences" with the team's ownership group.
The Bonecrushers are 0-3 in their inaugural season in the 15-team Continental Indoor Football League.In a joint statement, Kokalis and Brown said: "We're grateful for the opportunity to work with the Bonecrushers and help bring indoor football back to Milwaukee. The team was making progress. But we have irreconcilable differences with the ownership group of the Bonecrushers and feel it is best to move in a new direction. We wish the Bonecrushers continued success in their pursuit of a CIFL championship, and encourage football fans in southeastern Wisconsin to support this young, exciting team."
The Bonecrushers play at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
